Wakulla Springs is one of the largest natural springs in the world. It is located just south of Tallahassee, Florida but has had issues for a while now dealing with dark and murky water. When the water in the spring gets this way, the glass bottom boats don’t run and the spring’s full beauty is not seen. OnPoint Digital Media collaborated with the City of Tallahassee to produce a video highlighting the major problems affecting the spring and bringing an awareness to residents living in Leon and Wakulla counties. With a plan for the coming years to reduce nitrates flowing to the Floridan aquifer from septic tanks, hopefully the natural beauty of the crystal clear waters will be restored to Wakulla Springs.

From the YouTube description: “This North Florida treasure is one of the largest fresh water springs in the world. Protecting this precious natural resource is vital for future generations.”
